SCORING
80–100: Urgent Need for Tutoring
Your teen is struggling and likely at risk of falling behind or missing key opportunities. A tutoring program could provide much-needed structure, support, and confidence.
60–79: Moderate Need for Tutoring
There are clear signs of struggle in some areas. A tutor can help fill learning gaps, boost performance, and reduce stress before it gets worse.
40–59: Mild Need for Tutoring
Your teen may be doing okay—but with guidance, they could excel. A tutor can sharpen their skills and help them reach their full potential.
20–39: No Immediate Need
Your teen seems on track, but a tutoring check-in or college prep session could still provide reassurance and enhance readiness.

Meet the Teacher
“I’ve spent over 30 years teaching high school English—including AP Literature and Language. I created Project Prospero to give students the structured, thoughtful, and challenging instruction they’re not getting anywhere else.”
I’m out of the classroom because of kidney disease—but I’m still doing what I was born to do: teach.
30+ years teaching experience
I know what works and what doesn’t—for all kinds of students.
AP Lit & Lang background
I can teach the highest level of textual analysis, writing, and argumentation.
Online format
Students get focused, thoughtful instruction from someone with deep investment—this isn’t a gig, it’s my mission.
Focus on transformation, not “catch-up”
I don’t just help students pass—I prepare them to thrive.
Personal story (health journey)
I have stage 5 kidney disease and am on dialysis. Because of this schedule I’m not able to be in the classroom full-time. So I’ve taken my talents to the internet where new students can benefit. I’m not a tutor-for-hire—I’m a master teacher with a purpose.
